Digital Goa, Dec 5 – Godown of a packaging unit at Margao Industrial Estate at Nessai was gutted in fire yesterday night. Mamta Packers godown at the Margao Industrial Estate was engulfed in flames at around 11 pm yesterday. As large piles of corrugated sheets and papers inside the godown were on fire the fighters had difficulty in putting the fire off. Fire tenders from Margao, Cuncolim and Curchorem were pressed into service to douse the fire. Cause of fire is not yet known. Loss is estimated to be in lakhs.
