Digital Goa, Aug 31 – Supreme Court on Monday refused to interfere with the High Court’s order cancelling bail granted to Saurabh Luthra, Gaurav Luthra and Ajay Gupta, co-owners of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub at Arpora, where a fire had claimed 25 lives. The two judge bench dismissed the pleas challenging the High Court order. The apex court, however, granted the trio two weeks from today to surrender and directed that the trial be expedited for framing of charges. On August 18, High Court had cancelled their bail, holding that the Sessions Court had failed to properly exercise its discretionary powers while granting relief.
