Sea, Sun, Sand and Software: coworking space proposed in 4,667 sq mtr land at Colva beach

Digital Goa, Mar 17 – Goa govt has proposed CoWorking space in 4,667 sq mtr beachside property at Colva under its “Sea, Sun, Sand and Software” initiative. Expression of Interest(EOI)’s have been invited for setting up of the CoWorking space under Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) Model on PPP basis. ITG is the nodal Authority for implementation of this project. The Project site is owned by Department of Tourism and is located adjacent to Colmar Beach Resort admeasuring 4,667 sq. mt bearing Survey No.39/3 situated at Colva. The co-working space is a café like collaboration space with an office like setting states the tender document adding that the Concept Design should be based on Wood or bamboo or any other ecofriendly materials only and under no circumstances there should be any use of Cement, Concrete, RCC, Steel or any other material used for foundations or permanent structure of the building. The proposed design for the Co-working space shall ultimately benefit the state in increasing the overall tourist footfalls through Digital Nomads / working professionals, the document.
