Digital Goa, April 25 – In the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, security measures have been significantly strengthened across Goa, informed CM Pramod Sawant. Security measures, including combing operations, surprise Nakabandis, and heightened police presence at key locations have been introduced. Sea vigil, tenant verification, and social media monitoring are also in place, along with Sagar Kavach drives. He asked migrant buyers and sellers at weekly markets to carry ID cards for police verification. The state, with 826 registered trawlers and 1,206 canoes, is considering biometric tracking for workers on these vessels to trace their movements. Chief Minister also urged the public to maintain communal harmony and cooperate with the govt agencies during these heightened security measures.
