SIT files 13th chargesheet in Goa land grabbing case

Digital Goa, Sept 25 – Special Investigation Team (SIT) – land grabbing has filed its 13th chargesheet in the infamous land grabbing case before the JMFC, Mapusa. The case is listed for hearing on October 6. The 795-page chargesheet details how the accused impersonated heirs and cheated the rightful owners. The case, registered in March 2022 on a complaint by Vincent D’Souza of Delhi, relates to fraudulently transfer property at Assagao using forged documents. Mastermind Mohammad Suhail is presently in ED’s custody, Royson Rodrigues was arrested in May and is now on conditional bail, and Raju Methi, a close associate of Suhail, is also facing trial. An 80-year-old lady from Cuncolim, though charge-sheeted, is bedridden. Three others named in the chargesheet have expired.
