Digital Goa, August 4 – Six security guards of a private security agency have been booked for allegedly misappropriating over 1,600 valuable artefacts, jewellery items and a Kashmiri silk woollen carpet from a handicraft dealer’s shop at Sinquerim. According to the complaint, lodged by a Gurugram, Haryana resident, between March 17 and May 19, 2026, the accused security guards, deployed at Kashmir House in Sinquerim, allegedly dishonestly misappropriated valuables entrusted to their care while they were in possession of the keys to the premises. The stolen property allegedly includes 962 silver artefacts, along with 682 jewellery items besides a Kashmiri silk woollen carpet. The accused have been identified as Argha Dalai, Sandip Pradhan, Atanu Jana, Rajendra Maity, Rintu Nayak and Apurva Das, all employed as security guards with a security company.
