Digital Goa, Feb 4 – Sulaxana Sawant, wife of CM Pramod Sawant today said that she was very happy that her years of work has been recognised by the party and her name has surfaced as one of the probable candidates for the South Goa Lok Sabha seats. Names of Narendra Sawaikar, Damu Naik and Babu Kavlekar were sent by Goa BJP to the center. However, the Central leadership has asked Goa BJP to send some names of women leaders in addition to this. Sulaxana however added that the party decision is final in this matter and everyone in the party will support the candidate selected by the party. Pune based Goa native writer and columnist Shaifali Vaidya whose name has also surfaced in discussion on candidature said while speaking to media that she has not yet received any intimation about it from anyone and for her it’s wait and watch for now. Vidya Gaude and Suvarna Tendulkar are other two names in discussion. BJP Goa has however refrained from officially mentioning any names for now.
