Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) on Sunday announced the SSC (Class X) results for 2026, with the overall pass percentage recorded at 94.51 %. A total of 20,618 students had appeared for the examination, out of which 19,486 students successfully cleared the exam.Girls continued to outperform boys in this year’s results too. As many as 9,414 girls cleared the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 96.51 % and 10,072 boys passed the exam recording pass percentage of 94.37 %. As many as 178 schools across the state recorded a 100 per cent pass result, with Ponda taluka leading the tally with 29 schools, followed by Tiswadi (23), Salcete (22), and Bardez (17). Bicholim had 14 schools with a perfect result, while Quepem and Mormugao recorded 11 schools each achieving cent per cent success. The performance of Persons With Disability(PWD) students was also noteworthy. Out of 550 PWD students who appeared for the examination, 543 passed, resulting in an impressive pass percentage of 98.73 %.
