Ten including Jharkhand native music event organiser arrested after violent brawl at Pilar event

Digital Goa, Dec 8 – A music event organised at Fr Agnel School Ground in Pilar turned violent on Saturday after a fight broke out between organisers and attendees, leading to chaos, vandalism and alleged assault on police personnel. According to a complaint filed Agacaim Police, the disturbance began around 3 pm on December 7, when the accused organiser, Suraj Lohra (25), resident of Saligao and originally from Jharkhand, was hosting the event. Police said the situation escalated when a dispute broke out, leading to unruly behaviour and violence among those present. Hundreds of attendees, primarily for Jharkhand created public nuisance by shouting, fighting and threatening people at the venue. The group reportedly damaged the sound system, stage setup and assaulted the owner of the equipment. When police intervened, the accused persons allegedly became aggressive and refused to obey lawful instructions. They then reportedly pelted stones at police personnel, injuring officers on duty and further damaging property.
