Yet another high rainfall day yesterday in Goa; orange alert continues for 3 more days

    Digital Goa, July  23 -Goa recorded another high rainfall day yesterday with average rainfall of 88.4 mm registered in the state. Several areas in Goa are facing flood like situation. Goa’s surplus rain figures have reached at 23.5 percent. Sankhalim with 121.8 mm received the highest rainfall. Old Goa recorded second highest rainfall of 117 mm in 24 hours ending 8.30 am today followed by Pernem which recorded 115 8 mm rain and Mapusa with 101.2.  other stations received rain as follows: Panaji – 75.6 mm, Ponda – NA, Canacona – 67 mm, Sanguem – 80.6 mm, Quepem – 70.8 mm, Mormugao – 88.6 mm, Margao – 46 mm and Dabolim 81 mm, Valpoi -NA.
    Meanwhile, IMD has continued orange alert in Goa for next three days. IMD has warned possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty wings in the state.
