Digital Goa, Jan 2 – Two thieves have been arrested for housebreaking and thefts at Pontemol, Curchorem area. The accused 36-year-old Muzhar Shaikh from Vaddem, Vasco and 26-year-old Paul Chima from Sal, Bicholim have been arrested by Curchorem police. Some of the stolen goods have been recovered from the accused. Based on their modus operandi, police are suspecting involvement of the duo in thefts at Navelim and Bicholim areas too. It may be noted that Rs 38.5 lakh worth gold ornaments and cash was stolen from the house of one Samiha Shaikh in Pontemol, Curchorem when the family has gone to Sanguem to attend wedding reception of their sister. Muzhar and Paul have ben arrested in connection with this case.
