Digital Goa, Dec 9 – Of the three government officers suspended in connection with the Birch by Romeo Lane fire tragedy, two — Siddhi Harlankar, then director/additional director of panchayats, and Shamila Monteiro, then member secretary of the Goa State Pollution Control Board — have appeared before investigators and been interrogated, informed DIG Sharma. However, the third officer, Raghuvir Bagkar, secretary of the Arpora–Nagoa village panchayat, has not yet responded to the notice issued to him by Police. “We will give him another opportunity to join the investigation,” Sharma stated. Police are also yet to record the statement of Arpora–Nagoa sarpanch, she added.
