Repairs to the fire-hit Vasco Sunday Market will begin only after an official structural stability report is received, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said. “The stability report will come today,” he said. He informed that vendors want to be restart business from the same market, but govt wants stability of the structure to be checked, before taking any decision. “We do not want one more tragedy,” he added. With the entry ban ending on November 1, several affected vendors visited the market to take stock of their losses. Vendors have urged authorities to expedite restoration work so they can resume business at the earliest.
