Vidya Samiksha Kendra to monitor progress of teachers and students in real time: CM

    Digital Goa, Sept 5 – Goa govt is in the process of implementing Vidya Samiksha Kendra(VSK) – a mechanism to improve the academic performance of students, enhance the accountability of teachers in schools and also for effective utilisation of the available resources. CM Sawant informed during Teachers day program in Panaji today that the mechanism aids in monitoring of teachers and students performance from Canacona to Pernem by sitting in Panaji. Lakhs of students and over 13,500 teachers were already enrolled with the system run through SCERT in Goa in 2022. The VSK is a nationwide initiative covering data of more than 15 Lakh schools, 96 Lakh teachers and 26 Crore students across the country. The student and teacher data is analysed using big data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning in order to enhance the overall monitoring of the education system and thereby improving learning outcomes.
    IISC has expressed willingness to set up SCERT laboratories in schools across Goa, informed Secretary Education Prasad Lolienkar during the program.
