Digital Goa, Oct 3- A delegation of villagers from Khandepar and surrounding areas met Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai today demanding scrapping of the Khandepar Bandhara project and revoking of Section 144 in force in their villages. Pointing out several environmental concerns, the villagers expressed their strong objection to the Bandhara project. They alleged that the project has been illegally brought in the tribal area by people with vested interests in construction & ecotourism projects. The delegation also brought to the notice of Governor that Tribal Areas are not notified in the state.
