Digital Goa, Aug 15 – A 28-year-old man died after his two-wheeler was hit from behind by a speeding SUV at Porvorim. The accident occurred near Damian De Goa furniture showroom at around midnight yesterday. The deceased is identified as West Bengal native Surojit Kohli who was residing at Sangolda. The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Harshit Tamrkar residing at Torda, Porvorim and a native of Chhattisgarh has been arrested by Porvorim police. Eyewitnesses said that the victim was knocked down from his two-wheeler and dragged for nearly 100 meters by the SUV. Pillion rider accompanying Surojit has also been injured.
