Digital Goa, Feb 14 – A young girl from Gaonkarwado, Usgao was attacked by a youth with glass bottle after she allegedly refused to accept his love proposal. The accused identified as 24-year-old Manthan Gaude allegedly waylaid the girl while she was on her way to the bus stop today morning at around 7 am. Today being Valentine Day he asked the girl to accept his proposal and be his girlfriend. When the girl refused to entertain him, he allegedly attacked the girl with a glass bottle. The injured girl was first shifted to a local health center and then shifted to GMC Hospital for treatment. Manthan who had fled from the scene after the incident was nabbed by the Ponda Police after a hot chase. He saw the police and jumped into the water from the bridge. Police however managed to apprehend him.
