Jan 24- Goa govt has added Audio Visual Services as new priority sector for industrial development in the state. The AV services are listed in the service sectors category. In addition Logistic and warehousing which was earlier listed in the priority sector under Manufacturing Sector has been now categorised as Services sector. Govt has notified modification to the Government to Business (G2B) services ecosystem in the state to this effect and rules for ‘Implementation of Guidelines for Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP), 2024 to grant impetus to Ease of Doing Business’ in the State have been modified accordingly. As per the new list of priority sectors for industrial development in Goa, under Manufacturing sector – Medical Devices, Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Electronic/ Technology Products, Marine & Fisheries, Agro & Food Processing and Auto components are included. In Services Sector IT & ITES, Retail & E-commerce, Tourism & Hospitality, Fin Tech, Audio-Visual Services and Logistic & Warehousing have been included. The new notification also lists Medical Value Travel, Accounting and Finance Services, Legal Services, Communication Services, Construction and Related Engineering Services, Environmental Services and Textiles as sectors ‘not applicable for the Government of Goa’ .
