Feb 3- Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar today said that he has directed officials to process Surya Ghar scheme applications within 7 days to ensure that Goa speeds up on its solar power generation initiative. “Goa must move faster to take full advantage of renewable energy,” he asserted. Surya Ghar is a subsidy Scheme aimed at empowering residential households to generate their own electricity. Dhavalikar conceded that the State has been able to generate less than 1 MW solar power for Financial Year 2024-25 which is way lower that the set target of 10MW. He was speaking at the training program under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana. Over 3,500 applications for the scheme have been reviewed, he informed.
