Feb 23- Neura Gramsabha has opposed the proposed railway station in the eco fragile Khazan lands. Villagers asserted that the railway station will cause significant destruction of agriculture and the environment. Following the union budget, Konkan Railway had unveiled plans to construct three new railway stations in Goa over the next three years at Sarzora, Neura and Mayem.

Meanwhile, Morjim Gramsabha today opposed Rs 8 crore worth multi purpose parking project proposed by the tourism department in the village. Villagers feared that in the process of creating approach road to the parking project, their properties are likely to be at stake.
