Digital Goa, April 28 – A group of heritage activists under the banner of ‘Citizens for Democracy Goa’, has petitioned the Central government, urging urgent measures to preserve the historic precincts of Old Goa’s UNESCO World Heritage site. They have alleged of rampant construction activity within a one-kilometre radius of the protected zone in a letter sent to the Union Ministry of Culture.
