Digital Goa, June 18- As part of a special drive to curb narcotics around educational institutions, police in North Goa arrested two individuals for allegedly attempting to peddle ganja to students.On June 16, Pernem Police arrested Shivanand Gawade (28) from Parcem after 732g of suspected ganja worth Rs 70,000 was found hidden in the dickey of his scooter near the Tuem Garbage Treatment Plant. In a separate raid, Bicholim Police nabbed 19-year-old Harshadeep Ghanekar from Poira, Mayem with 29g of suspected ganja worth Rs 2,900 near the Shirgao railway track in the early hours of June 18. Both cases are being investigated under the NDPS Act.
