Digital Goa, 7 July – Cyber Crime Police Station has arrested a Maharashtra native in connection with a Rs 2.45 crore stock trading fraud. The victim, a lady from Salcete, was lured into fake investments promising high return through a WhatsApp group impersonating brokers of “Nuvama Wealth and Investment.” During the investigation, police traced Rs 13.5 lakh of the fraud amount to the account of Sanjay M Chavan (45) from Maharashtra, who was arrested yesterday. Further investigation is underway to trace other suspects involved in the scam.
