Digital Goa, August 29 – Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF\&CC), Government of India, has granted Environmental Clearance to Fomento Resources Private Limited for the ‘Block IV – Kalay Mineral Block’ in Sanguem taluka. The mining lease, spread over 152.5 hectares at Santona village, has been cleared for the production of 0.75 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of iron ore. The clearance was accorded on August 22, 2025.
