Digital Goa, Sept 17 – State government’s Mhajhe Ghar housing scheme for regularisation of illegal structures is expected to benefit nearly 50 per cent of Goa’s population, opined CM Pramod Sawant today. He further informed that notifications have already been issued for regularisation of structures on communidade and government-owned lands, as well as under the 20-Point Programme. Once the legal procedures are completed, application forms will be made available to the public, he said. Flats allotted under rehabilitation programmes decades ago will also be transferred in the names of current occupants, Sawant added. He further announced that the Mhajhe Ghar scheme will be formally launched in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
