ECI delists 4 Goa-based parties for not contesting polls in six years

Digital Goa, Sept 19 – The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday delisted 474 more registered unrecognised political parties (RUPPs) across the country, including four from Goa, for not contesting a single election in the past six years. The delisted Goa-based parties are Goa Su-raj Party, Goa Vikas Party, Sattari Yuva Morcha and United Goans Party. The parties were delisted by ECI after giving them a chance to put forth their say in the matter. In the first phase of the exercise, held on August 9, the ECI had delisted 334 RUPPs across the country.
