In a move to make Vasco-Da-Gama’s urban freight system smarter and more efficient, the Goa government has constituted a City Logistics Committee (CLC) tasked with preparing a comprehensive Vasco City Logistics Action Plan (CLAP). The committee brings together a mix of government officials, industry representatives, and civil society members, including the Mormugao Municipal Council, Port Authority, State Transport Department, traffic experts, and local cooperative societies. Chaired by the Industries Director , the group will map freight corridors, pinpoint congestion hotspots, and identify key logistics hubs to ensure smoother and safer movement of goods across the city.
