Digital Goa, Oct 2 – A major fire erupted at the main 33 KV high tension electricity substation at Deepnagar, Curti on Thursday, leaving large parts of the area without electricty for several hours. Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar said a short circuit was the cause of the blaze. Thick clouds of smoke from the site and were visible from a long distance. Electricity supply in the surrounding areas remained disrupted for hours. Authorities have managed to restore the power supply.
