Digital Goa, Oct 20 – A 39-year-old pedestrian, identified as Manoj Kankonkar from Corlim, died after being hit by a Maruti Suzuki S-Cross car near the railway bridge at Corlim on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 6:45 am when the car, reportedly driven in a rash and negligent manner, struck Kankonkar as he was walking by the roadside. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to GMC Bambolim, where he later succumbed during treatment. The car driver has been booked in the case.
