Digital Goa, Nov 12 – Sankhali Municipal Council has issued a public notice outlining measures for managing community and stray dogs within its jurisdiction, in compliance with Supreme Court order. The Council has designated three feeding zones — near the Municipal Ground (Market Area), near SESA Football Ground at Virdi, and near the MSW Plant at Harvalem, Sankhali. Animal feeders are instructed to feed dogs only in these areas, either before 6:00 AM or after 9:00 PM, and to ensure cleanliness around the feeding spots. Feeding on public streets or outside the designated areas has been strictly prohibited. The notice further urges cooperation from animal feeders in vaccination, catching, and release drives under the Animal Birth Control programme.
