Digital Goa, November 30, 2025 – The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a notification declaring the acquisition of 4.6308 hectares (46,308 sq. m) of additional land in Goa for the four-laning of the Ponda to Bhoma section of National Highway 748. The land spans the villages of Cundaim, Cuncoliem, Velinga, and Priol in Ponda taluka, covering Km. 125.440 to Km. 135.050. The initial notification was issued on 16th April 2025 and published in local newspapers. No objections were received from landowners, and the competent authority recommended acquisition. Following the notification dated November 26, 2025, the land will vest absolutely in the Central Government, free of all encumbrances.
