Digital Goa, December 3 – The pedestrian who was critically injured after a car allegedly driven by an intoxicated Nepal-origin youth mounted a footpath near the Panaji market on Tuesday morning, has succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Mukut Jyoti Behra, originally from Assam. The accused driver, 18-year-old Shahid Ansari — a Nepal national currently residing in Taleigao — allegedly reversed his car onto the footpath in a reckless manner, fatally injuring the victim. Panaji police have arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.
