Digital Goa, December 4 – Mandrem Police are investigating a dispute at La Gracia Resort in Morjim after two separate complaints were filed against each other by parties involved in an alleged violent confrontation on December 1. In the first complaint, Kamaljit Singh has alleged that accused persons Sanjay K.R. Gupta, Rajiv Uppal and a group of around 30 unidentified individuals unlawfully entered the resort armed with hockey sticks, a gun and wooden sticks. A counter-complaint in this regards has been lodged by Rajiv Uppal, who accused Kamaljit Singh and resort staff of restraining him and his associate from accessing a room allotted under an agreement. Uppal alleged that during a discussion regarding a legal dispute, the group abused, assaulted him with wooden sticks, damaged property and vandalised his vehicle, causing losses estimated at ₹1 lakh. Videos of the fight have gone viral on social media eliciting strong reactions from Goan netizens over the plight of law and order in the state.
