Digital Goa, June 15 – Senior Congress leader and AICC Goa Desk In-Charge Manikrao Thakare on Monday said that Goa Forward Party chief Vijay Sardesai is an alliance partner and that senior Congress leaders will hold discussions with him on issues concerning the alliance. “Vijay Sardesai is an alliance partner. Our leaders will speak to him. We will assign some senior leaders the responsibility of speaking with him,” Thakare told reporters. He was reacting to query on Goa Forward Party Supremo’s statements over proposals of alliance and merger in with Congress in 2022, during his birthday event yesterday. Responding to queries about the absence of Goa Congress president Amit Patkar at today’s party meeting, Thakare said Patkar remains an important Congress leader and will continue to play a major role in future meetings and party activities.
