Digital Goa, July 2 – The Goa government has significantly enhanced the benefits under the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) by increasing the annual health insurance cover with immediate effect. Under a notification issued by the Department of Public Health, families with up to three members will now be eligible for medical coverage of up to ₹4 lakh per year, up from ₹2.5 lakh, while families with four or more members will receive coverage of up to ₹6 lakh, an increase from ₹4 lakh. The notification also specifies that the total annual claim under the scheme shall not exceed ₹6 lakh per family.
