Goa Birth and death registrations moved to Central CRS portal from July 1

Digital Goa, July 2 – Birth and death registrations in Goa will now be processed through the Central Civil Registration System (CRS) Portal from July 1, replacing the State Portal. The move, implemented by the Registrar General of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will integrate all birth and death records from 1971 to June 30, 2026 into the Central database. Once migrated, citizens will be able to access certificates and related services only through the Central CRS Portal https://dc.crsorgi.gov.in/crs/, which will issue certificates in a uniform format applicable across the country. The existing State Portal shall continue to remain available only for issuance of birth and death certificates in respect of records which are yet to be pushed to the Central CRS Portal. However, new birth and death registrations will not be entered in the State Portal with effect from July 1, 2026, states a communique from the state govt.
