Digital Goa, July 3 – A 30-year-old woman from Agacaim was allegedly cheated of ₹1.67 lakh by fraudsters who befriended her on WhatsApp and falsely claimed to have sent her a parcel containing gold and cash from abroad. Another accused, posing as an Indian Embassy official, demanded charges to release the parcel, prompting the victim to transfer the money.
