Digital Goa, August 16 – Old Goa police have booked four persons for allegedly attacking and injuring two persons following a dispute linked to a football match at the Old Goa Panchayat ground on August 15. According to players, a fight broke out between two groups during a football match on Saturday morning, but the referee intervened and settled the issue. However, later in the evening, a group of supporters of one of the teams allegedly confronted members of the other group, leading to another altercation and a knife attack. Two persons were injured in the attack. One sustained a minor injury to the hand, while the other suffered a serious injury to the lower back near the waist.Old Goa police have booked four persons in connection with the incident.
