Digital Goa, Jan 2 – Minimum wages notification is effective in Goa from the day it has been issued, said CM Pramod Sawant. He added that the govt will ensure that the notified minimum wages are paid by the industries to their workers. “Those who are not paying will be made to pay,” he asserted. Goa govt had notified the minimum wages in August last year. Incidentally, All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) had expressed displeasure over the new rates calling them as unscientific and anti-working people.
