Digital Goa, Mar 12 – Spas and massage parlors operating in the coastal belt without following laid out rules and guidelines related to certification, space, trained staff etc will not be permitted to operate, asserted Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane. Amendment to this effect will be brought in the next assembly session, he informed. The minister was speaking at the program where 6 Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulances and 2 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances were handed over to DHS under the CSR initiatives of Powergrid WR-I.

Goa govt will set up PET scan facility at GMC Hospital in one or two months time, informed Rane. he said place has been identified to set up the facility. In general, PET scans are used to evaluate organs and tissues for the presence of disease or other conditions, however the most common use of PET is in the detection of cancer and the evaluation of cancer treatment.
