Digital Goa, Mar 20 – Environmental Public Hearing for Block II of Sirigao-Mayem Mineral Block which was scheduled to be held at Bicholim today has been postponed. Most villagers were unaware of the postponement and landed up at the venue today morning. Environmental Public Hearing with respect to Block II of Sirigao-Mayem Mineral Block with area of 171.2472 Ha. for production of 1.0 MTPA of Iron Ore by M/s. Salgaocar Shipping has been postponed in view of the letter received from the Additional District Collector, North Goa that it will be extremely difficult to conduct the hearing from law and order point of view, states the notice issued by Member Secretary, Goa State Pollution Control Board.
