Nov 25- A woman from Curchorem, Quepem has been arrested by police for allegedly fleecing a woman from Cacora of gold worth Rs 25 lakh and Rs 5.50 lakh cash. The accused identified as Tanvi Vast has been arrested by Curchorem police based on a complaint filed by the victim lady, Rosalina Correia Dias. Tanvi who worked as representative of Vision India in Central Bank of India, Curchorem allegedly took the gold ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh from Rosalina on pretext of depositing them with the bank and fraudulently replaced them with fake metal ornaments. Tanvi also transferred Rs 5.50 lakh from Rosalin’s account into her own account through mobile banking without her knowledge. Rosalin came to know of the fraud on Nov 18 and filed a complaint with the police.
