Delhi real estate firm cheated for Rs 85 lakh on pretext of selling 850 sq mtr land at Parra

Nov 29 – A real estate firm from Delhi was allegedly cheated to the tune of Rs 85 lakh by 8 persons by ‘selling’ 850 sq mtr property at Parra, Bardez which did not belong to them. Akash Mishra Authorised signatory of M/s P K S Estate, New Delhi has filed a complaint to this effect. All the 8 accused have been booked by Mapusa police and are identified as Elizabeth Mascarenhas from Calangute, Joyce Felix D’ Sliva from Mumbai ,Grenville John Desa from USA , John Romero Dessa, Telangana, Blossom Cashin, Dubai, Clifford Viegas and Anita Viegas both residents of Kerant, Caranzalem and John Menezes from Mumbai. As per the complaint the accused induced the company to purchase the property at Parra by fraudulently misrepresenting themselves as legal heirs of the property They also carried out the documentary transition in respect of the property at office of Civil Registrar Cum Sub Registrar of Bardez, executed the deed of sale and accepted amount towards the transaction, states the complaint. The fraud came to light when concerned authorities denied mutation of the property by pointing out that the persons who executed the sale deed were not legal heirs of the property.
