Dec 17 – A 11-year-old bicycle rider sustained serious head injuries in hit-and-run accident at Betim. The victim identified as Anushka Jadar had to undergo head surgery and is being treated at GMC Hospital. The bike rider, 21-year-old Shashikant Gawas dashed against Anushka’s bicycle which was coming from the opposite direction. He fled from the spot along with the vehicle after the accident. Case has been registered against him at Porvorim police station.
