Clean chit to former CTP Rajesh Naik in conversion fee case

Digital Goa, May, 08 – Goa government has given clean chit to Chief Town Planner Rajesh J Naik after the Vigilance Department cleared him in the controversial TCP conversion fee case. The Vigilance Department has dropped further proceedings after additional fees were recovered in 40 of the 47 cases under scrutiny, while permissions in the remaining seven cases were cancelled. High Court had also noted there was no conclusive evidence of deliberate wrongdoing. Naik, who has since retired, will now be entitled to all consequential benefits.
