Digital Goa, Mar 10- Govt has identified 6,000 bogus or expired beneficiaries of the Dayanand Social Security Scheme(DSSS) and process to recover the money is on, informed Social Welfare Minister Subhash Faldessai. He said that earlier Rs 13 crore were recovered in such cases. At times banks also do not update the passbooks of expired beneficiaries and the money remains with the banks, he informed. The State has 1.30 lakh DSSS beneficiaries and the govt has capped the figure at that. Efforts are on to weed out bogus or expired beneficiaries so that new applications can be considered, the minister informed.
