Digital Goa, April 22 – CM Pramod Sawant said that he is willing to engage in further discussions with Bhoma villagers regarding the proposed highway expansion plan. “I have informed them that once the site marking is completed and they understand the situation, they can come to me again for talks. The government is open to dialogue,” Sawant stated. Earlier in the day, PWD officials started demarcation work at Bhoma amid heavy police presence. Large number of villagers were also present at the site. The villagers have been opposing the construction of a flyover through their village, advocating instead for a bypass to preserve their homes and cultural heritage.
