Digital Goa, May 7 – A woman from Carmona was allegedly cheated of Rs 4.5 lakh by a cyber fraudster who impersonated a Delhi Police officer via WhatsApp video call. The accused, who identified himself as Dipesh Joshi, contacted the complainant on April 11, claiming she was involved in a money laundering case. He then induced her to transfer the money to a bank account belonging to one Sidhesh Ajay. Colva police are investigating the matter.
