EDC sanctioned Rs 40 Cr in loans, directed to launch new initiatives for entrepreneurs: CM

Digital Goa, 10, July – New loan proposals for Goan enterprises were sanctioned by EDC, bringing total loan sanctions this year to around Rs 40 crore, informed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. CM chaired the 404th EDC Limited Board Meeting, approving key measures to boost Goa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. EDC reported Rs 111.47 Cr revenue and Rs 81.27 Cr profit for FY 2024–25 and a net worth of Rs 840 crore. Loan sanctions for Goan enterprises reached Rs 40 Cr. The Board gave in-principle approval to the Mukhyamantri Rozgar Yojana and also approved partnership with EDII to train government college and higher secondary faculty in entrepreneurship. CM also directed EDC to launch new business loan schemes and simplify access to financial assistance.
