Digital Goa, July 20 – Tuem villagers held a protest meeting today demanding immediate commissioning of the 100-bedded Tuem Hospital. Organised by the Tuem Hospital Kruti Sameeti, the protest saw large participation. The committee’s key demands include linking the hospital with Goa Medical College (GMC) and giving priority in jobs to locals. Protesters vowed to continue their agitation until the hospital is made fully operational and employment is ensured for local youth.
